About Carol Watler

Carol Watler brings more than 17 years of experience in mental health care and a seven-year background in hospital chaplaincy to her work with individuals and families. She spent over two decades living in the Orlando area and combined pastoral care with clinical training to shape a practice that addresses emotional, spiritual, and practical needs. Her training includes a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Master of Divinity from Regent University. She is licensed by the State of Florida as a mental health counselor and is a candidate for Board Certified Behavior Analyst status. She is also board eligible for certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains and holds a certification in Critical Incident Stress Management through membership in the American Association of Christian Counselors.

From 2003 to 2009 she provided spiritual and emotional support for patients, families, and staff at Orlando Health Systems, and later served as Manager of the Chaplaincy Department at South Seminole Hospital where she ministered to people at various stages of grief and helped hospital staff cope with the daily stressors common to emergency care. While completing her counseling degree she began clinical work in 2003 with Lakeside Alternatives, integrating chaplaincy strengths with clinical interventions to support clients more holistically.

After earning licensure in 2009, she returned to direct therapeutic work with juvenile clients and their families, offering counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy. In November 2010 she founded Hope For Tomorrow Mental Health Services, LLC, a practice providing individual and group counseling and psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and families. Her mission, grounded in faith and hope, emphasizes practical progress and compassionate support.

Outside of clinical practice she is a mother and grandmother who volunteers locally by leading workshops on stress management, grief, and other coping skills, and by assisting with referrals to advocacy groups, faith communities, and parish nursing resources. Her approach aims to be comprehensive - addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of well-being - and results-oriented, helping clients see tangible improvements in a focused timeframe rather than an open-ended process.
