About Elizabeth "Lizzie" Elleson
Early in her career she worked as a drug and alcohol clinician in the public sector, where she began to notice the strong connections between addiction and early-childhood trauma. That experience led her to pursue further training in trauma-informed modalities, including Mindfulness-integrated CBT, Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal Theory.
She later worked with Australia’s National Centre of Excellence for people with complex trauma, supporting clients who were also experiencing disability and other significant life challenges. In that role she supported some of the most marginalised communities and worked with many neurodivergent clients, witnessing a wide range of behavioural, emotional, and psychological impacts of unresolved trauma.
Today she maintains a private practice in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, where she specialises in supporting highly sensitive people recovering from complex trauma and offers coaching for those managing PMDD. She tailors her methods to each person, drawing on trauma-focused and relational frameworks to meet individual needs.
People who have worked with her often report feeling more at peace with themselves, better able to face life’s challenges, and experiencing more harmonious relationships. She holds PACFA membership - the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, a national association for psychotherapists and counsellors - and is not currently accepting new clients.

Could Remote Therapy Be a Good Fit?
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can genuinely help. This flexibility makes it easier to integrate regular sessions into busy lives and to maintain continuity of support when circumstances change.
Licensed professionals and therapists offer these remote options, and individuals can change therapists if they need a different fit. For many, online therapy provides accessible, consistent, and practical support when navigating everyday challenges and emotional concerns.
